The Allianz ‘WeatherSafe’ app no longer appears to be available. Instead, Allianz now refer users to the Met Office for weather updates.
Not a month goes by without the weather hitting the headlines again. Heatwaves, storms, floods, lightning, you name it we’ve had it this year. To the rescue comes a new smartphone app from Allianz, ‘WeatherSafe’.
The new app uses 3-hourly and 7-day forecasts supplied by MeteoGroup, one of the worlds leading weather forecasters. Read about the app here, or download it from either Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store (see links below).

There are a multitude of weather apps available so choosing one isn’t a major issue. What makes Allianz’s offering different?
- You can set up automatic alerts in up to three locations across Europe. You can then choose to receive notifications or emails whenever a severe weather threat is imminent.
- Advice on protecting property in the event of severe weather. These range from simple measures to detailed action plans.
- Weather forecasts and alerts can be shared via Twitter, Facebook and email.
- Satellite imagery and rainfall radar functionality.
